Hazrat Sultan Bahoo’s father, Hazrat Bazaid Muhammad (Allah bless his soul) was a pious, virtuous, Hafiz-e-Quran and a master in the field of jurisprudence.
The mother of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo, Hazrat Bibi Rasti (blessings be upon her) was a perfect recognizer (arifa) of Allah and was known for her piety in the family. She usually remained busy in prayers and dhikr (rememberance of Allah). The remains of the place, where she used to remain absorbed in the dhikr of Ism-e-Allah Zaat, are near a spring in the valley famous as ‘Anga Shareef’. Hazrat Sultan Bahoo (RA) had a, natural, heartedly link with his ancestors in Soon Skaser.
Before the sacred birth of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo (RA), Hazrat Bazaid Muhammad (RA) rode to Multan on his horse ‘Soon Pari’ where mayor of Multan, already aware of the piety and high status of his excellency, was waiting for Him. He commissioned Hazrat Bazaid Muhammad (RA) in his elite administrative force. When Raja Marwat attacked mayor of Multan, Hazrat Bazaid Muhammad (RA) severed the head of that traitor; due to this gallant and heroic action mayor of Multan awarded Hazrat Bazaid Muhammad (RA) a village.
After some time when family members and honourable people of ‘Soon Skaser’ valley went to Multan in order to persuade and bring back Hazrat Bazaid Muhammad (RA). He replied by stating that “I did not come here with my own will but was sent, you can verify this from Hazrat Bibi Rasti (RA)”, which she confirmed.
After this affirmation Hazrat Bibi Rasti (RA) told Hazrat Bazaid Muhammad (RA) “we are expecting the birth of a spiritual recognizer; by looking at the Divine luminous on whose sacred face non-Muslims will be reciting the creed without persuasion and will accept Islam instantly. Almighty Allah has selected the place of Shorekot for the blessed birth of Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan-ul-Faqr Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo and we have been ordered to reside there for ever”. Its then Hazrat Bazaid Muhammad (RA) and Hazrat Bibi Rasti (RA) moved to Shorekot and stayed there all their lives. There shire is also in Shorekot. Later on, the entire Shorkot was gifted to Hazrat Bazaid (RA).
Once Hazrat Sultan Bahoo (endowments be upon him) by the inexplicably of his excellency, turned a salted spring into sweet water spring in Kalar Kahar. A small cave in a mountian at western side of the spring was seclusion place of His Excellency, Hazrat Sultan Bahoo (blessings be upon him), it still provids the blessings to its visitors. Behind the place of seclusion there are two tombs side by side. One is of a deer, who was a mawakal (guardian angel). That deer kept providing food of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo (RA), the other tomb is of his Khalifah (spiritual representative). This place is known by the name “Aahoo Bahoo”. ‘Aahoo’ means deer and ‘Bahoo’ shows relation with Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo (RA).
Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan-ul-Faqr Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo (RA) was born in Shorekot, Jhang during the reign of Shah Jahan on Thursday 1st Jamadi-us-Sani 1039 Hijri (17th Jan 1630) at the time of Fajar prayer. Bibi Raasti (RA) named this sacred child “Bahoo” according to the Divine order, as his status and name was already revealed to her. Sultan-ul-Arifeen says:
- “Bahoo’s mother named him Bahoo because Bahoo has always remained with Hoo”
